The moment was perfect. The photo wasn't.
I know that feeling. That’s why I’m here.

Hi there friends!
I'm Kat, your outdoor photography bestie.
I’m Czech, I live in New Zealand with Kuba and our toddler, and most of our free time goes outside. Beautiful, messy, sometimes a bit of a mission. A lot like outdoor photography itself.
Photos are memories to me. Proof the adventure happened. Mine used to come out flat every time, and the borrowed camera I started on mostly stayed in the bag. I still regret that one, I lost a lot of memories.
I created Wander By Frame for outdoor souls like me who want their photos to finally feel like their adventure actually felt. Some adventures are a big trip, some are our own backyard, some are a beach twenty minutes down the road.
I’m not a teacher. I’m your photo bestie. I’m still learning too, so you’ll get my mistakes along with what I know. And you’re not behind, you’re not alone in this.
How your photo bestie can help you
Simple analogies from life.
So you'll understand even the technical stuff.
The why behind a setting.
Not only the numbers you need to copy.
Foundations first.
Before we dive into the details.
Made for outside.
Where the light keeps moving and nothing waits for you.
Honest, mistakes included.
I share my mistakes as well, they're the best teachers. I'll also show you the gap between what I saw and what the camera saw, because a lot of Instagram photography won't.
And if you feel confused right now, that’s not talent missing. Every photographer starts there, me included.

From my own adventures
Fourth try. The first three had the sun behind me and looked like nothing.
There’s a car park about ten meters left of this frame.
Straight out of camera looked grey and flat. The layers were always there, I just couldn’t see them yet.

Nice words from others
“The biggest realisation is that I need just one hero in a photo, it explains why some of my photos just don’t work.”
Barbora, after reading the free Superhero Method
“Seeing them clearly named and structured brings more awareness and confidence to the process.”
Ema, after reading the bonuses
